Leon Fraser is one half of Hartford Relays. He was born and raised in Port Antonio, Jamaica, the West Indies. From an early age he had a love for sports and played for teams since elementary up through college. He attended Titchfield High School where he was a part of the soccer and track and field team. Later he attended G.C Foster College in Spanish Town, St Catherine Jamaica W.I. At G.C Foster College he also joined the college team for both track and soccer where they maintained championship in both sports during the years of his attendance.
After graduation from G.C foster college Leon returned to his Alma mater TitchField High to teach and coach where he remained for several years. He later became site manager at another Alma mater G.C Foster College. Then he became Athletic director at College of agriculture and science and education formally known as J.S.A located in Passley Gardens Jamaica.
Years later, Leon migrated to the U.S.A with his family and currently resides in Hartford CT. He is certified as a soccer referee with USSF and a track and field official for USATF.
Jyrashanz was a name coined by Leon in his youth which evolved through time to become the business it is today which is Hartford Relays.
Marilyn Tomlinon-Fraser is one half of Hartford Relays. Marilyn was born and raised in Westmoreland, Jamaica where her love for sports blossomed the length of her lifetime. Her love of sports took her all over the island and also internationally.
In her high school years she was a member of the netball and track teams. Marilyn competed with the likes of Merlene Ottey who was her teammate on the girl’s High School track and field team. She competed in many regional netball games playing against the Australian National teams in netball while representing the girls under 20 Western regional netball squad as the Wing Attack for her team.
After high school Marilyn attended GC Foster College, where she represented her college in Netball, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Basketball and Track and Field. Her continued love of sports has brought her to the point where she became the Athletic Director for both Happy Grove and Mona High Schools respectively. Marilyn coached the netball teams of both schools to the national junior championships.
Presently she is the head coach for Varsity volleyball and track and field teams at The Watkinson School in Hartford Connecticut.
